This typically means that the person will either be a journeyperson electrician, certified fire alarm technician, journeyperson sprinkler system installer, or other qualified person as per provincial or Calgary Fire Department requirements,” according to the City of Calgary Fire Safety Manual.  

It will be the sole responsibility of the building owner in case of any such violation of the Safety Codes Act. Moreover, it is also the responsibility of the owner to verify the qualification or credentials of the technician and not the contractor.
